Mic Test

Check your microphone in one click. Live waveform, level meter, and instant playback. Your audio never leaves the browser.

Start mic test

Press start and allow microphone access. Nothing is recorded until you choose to.

Past the meter

Working is not the same as sounding good

Most mic tests stop at the meter moving. That only proves the hardware is alive. What matters on a call or a recording is how you actually sound on the other end.

The playback check covers that. Record a few seconds and listen. A muffled pickup, an echoey room, or a mic that hears your keyboard louder than your voice all show up right away.

Private by default

Your audio never leaves the browser

This test runs entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded, and the recording is gone the moment you leave the page. That is the same principle behind wispa, which can turn your voice into text on your computer without sending audio anywhere.

Good to know

Mic test, answered.

Why can't I hear anything?

First allow microphone access when the browser asks. If the meter still does not move, pick a different microphone from the menu and check it is not muted in your system settings.

Is my recording uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser on your device, and the recording is discarded when you close or leave the page.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes, in most mobile browsers. Allow microphone access when prompted and hold the phone as you normally would.
