Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the website wispa.it, not to the wispa app (which transcribes locally; the app's data processing is described in the app under “About → Data & Privacy”).

2. Hosting (GitHub Pages)

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (a subsidiary of Microsoft Corporation). When you access the site, GitHub processes technically necessary data (see server log files). Data may be transferred to the USA in the process. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and efficient provision of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Server log files

When the pages are accessed, the host automatically collects information that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of the request, the requested file, the referrer URL and the user agent (browser/operating system). This data serves delivery, stability and security and is not merged with other data sources. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

4. Fonts

The fonts used on this website are served locally from the server (GitHub Pages). No connections to third-party servers (e.g. Google Fonts) are established and no personal data is transferred to third parties.

5. Local storage in the browser

For the chosen language and colour scheme (light/dark), the site stores small values in your browser's local storage (localStorage). These remain on your device, are not transmitted to us, and are not cookies in the legal sense that would enable tracking.

6. Downloading the app

The wispa app is downloaded via GitHub Releases (GitHub, Inc., USA). During the download, GitHub processes the technically necessary data (including your IP address) as an independent controller. No account and no personal data are required.

7. Contacting us

If you contact us by email, we process your details in order to handle your request. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual/contractual) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed.

8. No tracking, no analytics

This website uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services and sets no marketing cookies.
