wispa for coding agents
Answer Codex by voice.
When Codex needs your input, wispa pops up right where you are working. Answer by voice; it lands straight back in the session.
Requires wispa for macOS 13+. Free in beta, no account.
How it works
Set it up once, then just talk.
-
Turn on the Codex hook
Open wispa, go to Integrations, and flip the Codex switch. It writes the hook for you; start a new session and approve it once.
-
Codex pauses and asks
When your agent needs you, the reply window appears over whatever app you are in, with its message and project.
-
Answer out loud
Hold your dictation key and speak, or just type. Hit Send, and your answer lands back in the session.
Why it's better
Built for the way agents actually interrupt you.
Always in the loop
The moment Codex needs you, wispa surfaces on top of your editor with the full message. No polling the terminal.
Long directions, spoken
Speaking a paragraph of direction beats typing it, and wispa turns your speech into text right in the reply box.
Straight back into the session
Continuation sends your reply into the running session, even in the background. Or paste it like a normal dictation.
